Schalast & Partner - Profile
First-class service, outstanding expertise and personal support have been both our objective and our calling card since our law firm was established. This ist the approach we have used since 1998 to advise our German and international clients on M&A, financial and capital market transactions, and also on all corporate and commercial law issues.
Our M&A practice focuses on small and mid-cap transactions. Here we advice entrepreneurs, management teams on MBO/MBI situations and private equity investors.
In addition to "classic" financing advice in connection with corporate transactions, our financing team also offers our clients ongoing support with respect to regulatory issues concerning banks.
We have particular expertise in the acquisition, servicing and sale of non-performing loan portfolios.
This practise area collaborates closely with our real estate practice.
The transaction-related services we provide to our clients are supported and complemented by advice on labor law issues, in particular collective labour law issues, and questions in connection with restructuring projects.
The services of our forensic experts are also available if required to safeguard the interests of our clients.
Our Telecommunications/Media/Infrastructure practise group, which gives our clients access to outstanding industry expertise, has developed from our long-established transactions practice which concentrates on the multimedia, cable and telecommunications sectors.
However, not only transactions depend on exellent corporate and commercial law know-how for their success; the day-to-day business operations of companies also require professional support. If requested by our clients, we also provide in-house lawyers for project-based activities within the scope of secondments.
These services are complemented by a highly efficient in-house team of notaries specialised in complex company law and M&A notarisations, as well as German and international real estate transactions.
Schalast & Partner is a member of the international network MULTILAW. Worldwide over 73 first-class law firms in all important jurisdictions with more than 6,000 internationally trained lawyers belong to this network. Member law firms are carefully selected on the basis of a strict qualification process. Schalast & Partner is therefore able to offer its clients onestop, cross-border legal advice concepts.
Our international expertise is also demonstrated by the fact that since establishment of our law firm we have on behalf of German and European/international institutions, advised ministries and governments in Central and Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean and Central Asia on legal reform, in particular with respect to the deregulation and modernisation of their infrastructure.
