With assistance from Schalast, Viessmann takes over Tschritter GmbH and expands its involvement in refrigeration sector

Schalast is advising the Viessmann Group on its takeover of Tschritter Gebäude Technik GmbH. The transaction action is still subject to antitrust approval. The range of services offered by the family-owned company with nearly 40 years of experience covers all areas of air conditioning and ventilation technology, large-scale and commercial refrigeration, industrial refrigeration and cold storage construction, as well as the sale and distribution of refrigerated cabinets. Tschritter provides its customers with comprehensive support from the planning stage through to the implementation and maintenance of their projects.

"We are delighted that we will now be combining Viessmann's expertise in refrigeration cabinets, cold rooms and refrigeration systems with Tschritter's high commitment to service. Together we will be able to offer our customers, including food retailers, even more comprehensive turnkey solutions for their needs. The focus is on northern Germany. Our common goal is to further expand the business of the company," says Frank Winters, CEO of Refrigeration Solutions at Viessmann.

Oliver Tschritter, the son of the founder Harald Tschritter, will continue to manage the company in future and emphasised: "There is high demand for refrigeration technology in Germany. There is also the fact that customers want turnkey solution from one source. In Viessmann, we have found a reliable and strategically important partner for the future, which will help us fulfil this customer request comprehensively."

Tschritter Gebäude Technik GmbH, which is headquartered in Gifhorn, has existed since 1979. More than 80 staff are currently employed at a total of three facilities in Gifhorn, Hanover and Ahlbeck (Usedom).

Viessmann is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of commercial refrigeration systems, known for their energy efficiency and sustainable refrigeration technology, as well as their user-friendliness and maintenance. Viessmann's Tecto product and services portfolio includes remote and plug-in refrigerated cabinets, cold storage units and cooling systems as well as accessories and services. The refrigeration products are manufactured at Viessmann's production facilities in Germany and Finland and are represented by local sales offices in 18 countries, which are supported by an extensive network of partner companies.

Viessmann has once again relied on Schalast's advice for this transaction. Schalast obtained this engagement via a personal contact of named partner Christoph Schalast to the Head of M&A Timo Tauber and already advised Viessmann last year in connection with the acquisition of a stake in the Salzburg-based group ETHERMA.
