Schalast opens fourth office with SKW Schwarz Team in Düsseldorf

Schalast now opens its fourth office in Düsseldorf. The SKW Schwarz team there, headed by Managing Partner Andreas Seidel, is moving completely to Schalast. Andreas Seidel will enrich the Corporate/M&A practice group with his many years of experience in planning major projects, Dr. Michael Berghaus, who has already worked closely with Schalast on a data center project in the past, will strengthen the real estate team and Jan Schneider will join the cross-location IT/IP practice. All three will also become partners at Schalast. They are currently joined by an associate.

The Managing Partner Prof. Dr. Christoph Schalast comments as follows:

"We go where our clients are. That's why we are also pleased to now be on site in Düsseldorf. Two of our partners, Dr. Ernst Georg Berger and Kristof Schnitzler, have networks and clients in the region and we are very pleased to be able to further expand and intensify this with the team around Andreas Seidel. After the very successful opening of our office in Hamburg in 2017, we are now going to Düsseldorf and are in concrete plans to expand our office in Berlin as well as to gain a further location in the south of Germany."

Andreas Seidel comments:

"The ideas between Schalast and us here in Düsseldorf regarding a legal company, especially in corona or post-corona times, are a strikingly ideal match. The client and the mandate are the focus of all our efforts. And all internal structures are based on the consistently applied Business Judgement Rule."

The new Schalast office will be further strengthened in the next few days with an experienced Banking & Finance Partner, Dr. Karsten Schaudinn, who comes from Hopfgarten, Wuppertal. The Banking & Finance practice group has grown particularly rapidly at Schalast in recent years and has become particularly well known for its banking regulatory work and the all-round support provided by FinTechs.
