Schalast advises on the design of the “House of Finance and Tech”

Yesterday evening, the new FinTech hub in Berlin, the House of Finance and Tech (“HoFT”), was officially opened.

Schalast advised on the conceptual design of HoFT and, together with various partners (Berlin Finance Initiative, Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie GmbH, Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises and Investitionsbank Berlin), presented an implementation concept at the end of 2022. This highlighted the essential requirements for a newly established FinTech hub with the aim of strengthening Berlin as a FinTech location beyond national borders. In addition to the legal and industry-specific requirements, the implementation concept - in collaboration with Schalast Auerbach AG - included an initial business plan.

As part of the Digital Hub Initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, the Berlin House of Finance and Tech serves as a contact point for start-ups, established companies and academia. The aim is to share knowledge and drive forward joint partnerships strategically and innovatively - both in Berlin's finance and tech sector and internationally. The House of Finance and Tech's offering is complemented by attractive networking events and co-working spaces.
