Schalast Advises Finatem on the Exit of GfS Gesellschaft für Straßenunterhaltung mbH

Schalast provided comprehensive legal and tax advice to the private equity firm Finatem on the exit of GfS Gesellschaft für Straßenunterhaltung mbH.

GfS Gesellschaft für Straßenunterhaltung mbH, which Finatem acquired in 2018, specializes in the manufacture of vehicle restraint systems as well as protective and guidance systems for roads, traffic infrastructure and industrial facilities. Under the umbrella of Icelake, GfS will continue to grow as an independent part of the acquiring DVDS Group (to be renamed GroundBirds).

In addition to the sale of the company, the advisory services also covered the management’s reinvestment and new equity participation alongside the Dutch financial investor Icelake.
