Biography

Tarek Khalil is an internationally experienced lawyer specializing in IT, data protection and AI. He also advises on general contract law issues, often in an international context.

His areas of expertise include complex license agreements, technology transfers, and comprehensive data protection and cybersecurity advice. He acts before national courts as well as before national and international authorities. He also often supports clients, for example, in the event of (impending) data protection violations or in submitting statements to data protection authorities.

He has extensive experience in advising German and international clients from a wide range of industries, including software, e-commerce and telecommunications companies.
In particular, his clients also benefit from his extensive experience on both sides of legal advice: thanks to his many years of working in a large international law firm, he is not only familiar with the perspective of an internationally experienced lawyer, but also with the company's perspective at first hand. As in-house legal counsel and legal counsel in a tech company, he has been working for the company for several years and has gained valuable in-house expertise.

As a specialist lawyer in international business law, he often advises on cross-border issues and contract negotiations.

He completed his LL.M. studies at the Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand, where he focused on private international law and procedural law, as well as international arbitration.

He most recently worked in an international law firm in Berlin and before that as an inhouse lawyer in the legal department of a tech company.
